Benefits of a Nice Rain

My plants have happily responded to the nice rain they received on Sunday morning.  I'm sure the cool nights and warm days have been helping too.  The week is passing quickly and soon I'll have some time in the garden to do more than water and pull a few weeds.

Garden Observations

• My Cora Vinca grown from seed are starting to bloom in their hanging baskets.
• The Gaura in the side path bed are starting to bloom.
• I have an open flower on the Coreopsis in the new perennial bed out front.
• I planted a few extra okra seeds tonight because there was a gap in the row with no seedlings.
• It's almost time to put back the amaryllis stalks.
